TC.20/2658, Ambalamukku, Kawdiar, Trivandrum,
India. The company is promoted by Captain KNG. Nair
VM Gallantry, a Commercial Pilot. A brief profile of
Captain KNG. Nair is given below:
Gp Capt KNG Nair VM
Gp Capt KNG. Nair is one of the promoters
and the Managing Director of the company. He is a veteran
helicopter pilot with over 13500 hours of accident/incident
free flying to his credit. He was commissioned in the
Indian Air Force in 1975 and after 23 years of glorious
service he quit the IAF on 30th June 98 to join the
civil aviation in India. While in the IAF he held important
posts as Flight Commander of 3 Operational Squadrons,
Chief Flying Instructor of advanced helicopter training
unit, Commanding officer of Operational helicopter squadron
etc. He was on deputation to Govt. of Tamil Nadu where
he was appointed as the Chief Pilot and he had set up
the aviation wing for Govt. of Tamil Nadu.
Gp Capt KNG Nair is the recipient
of Flight Safety Three Star, awarded by the IAF for
accident/incident free and excellent flying performance.
He was awarded the prestigious Vayu Sena Medal Gallantry
by the President of India for his high standard of professional
skill, dedication to duty and to the service and display
of courage in the face of the enemy. He is also the
recipient of commendation by the Chief of Air Staff
for the highest level of professional competency and
selfless devotion to the service to the nation.
Gp Capt KNG Nair contributed his experience and expertise
in helicopter operations in the offshore sector in support
of Oil Exploration and Production Companies as the Chief
of Operations of one of the leading helicopter Companies
in India for over 10 years.
Gp Capt KNG Nair is a qualified flying
instructor and DGCA approved examiner. He is the secretary
Western Chapter of Rotary Wing Society of India and
also a governing council member of the society.
Company Operations
Presently King Rotors and Air Charter
Pvt. Ltd operate three types of helicopters. Chetak
helicopter is based in Thiruvananthapuram for tourism
related flights in South India. The Company Bell 407
helicopter is based in Juhu, Mumbai for charter operations
and the Bell 412 helicopter is operating out of Visakhapatnam
towards offshore operations in support of Oil Companies.
